ABSTRACT
Aim: Endometrial carcinoma is the most common malignant tumor among the postmenopausal women. Progesteron and estrogen reseptors are important in etiology and follow up. We wanted to show the importance of progesteron receptor in comparison to other prognostic factors. Material and Method: Presence of progesteron receptor is evaluated by using an immunohistochemical method PAP in 42 patients who are diagnosed as endometrioid type endometrial adenocarcinoma in Dr. Z.T.B. Women health education and research hospital patology department between 1996 -1999. And its compared with other parameters. One Way anova and Square Chi tests are used as statistical tests (p<0.05). Findings: We observed positive staining much more in cases which are low grade, with no myometrial invasion and no lenf node metastasis. Results: Progesteron receptor in endometrial adenocarcinoma is a valuable parameter which can be compared with other prognostic parameters to help prognosis.
