ÖZET
Çalışmamızda histerektomi yapılan 55 olgunun 34'üne profilaktik amaçla tek doz antibiyotik (Sefotaksim 2 gr) verilmiştir. Yirmibir olguda da kontrol grubu olarak alınmıştır. Profilaksi uygulanan olgulara antibiyotik operasyondan 30 dakika önce İ.V. olarak verilmiştir. Sonuçta, profilaksi yapılan olgularda infeksiyöz morbidite oranı %20.59, febril morbidite oranı %29.41 olarak saptanırken, kontrol grubuna bu oranlar sırasıyla %42.86 ve %52.38 bulunmuştur. Sonuçların anlamlılığı "t testi" ile kontrol edildiğinde gerek infeksiyöz gerekse febril morbidite oranları arasındaki fark istatistiksel olarak sınırlı derecede anlamlı (0.05>p>0.1) bulunmuştur.
