ÖZET
Amaç: Monokoryonik ikiz gebeliklerde fetuslardan birinin ölümünü takiben, yaşayan fetus için ortaya çıkan riskleri ve doğumun zamanlamasını tartışmak. Çalışmanın yapıldığı yer: İstanbul Üniversitesi, İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi, Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Kliniği. Olgu Sunumu: Bu yazımızda, monokoryonik bir ikiz gebelikte feto-fetal transfüzyon sendromu sonrası ikiz eşinin ölümünü takiben, yaşayan fetusta neonatal dönemde saptanan serebral hasar olgusunu sunduk. Sonuç: İkiz eşininin ölümünü takiben yaşayan fetusta santral sinir sistemini de kapsayabilen ciddi patolojiler oluşabildiği için, monokoryonik ikiz gebeliklerde doğumun zamanlaması kritik öneme sahiptir.
ABSTRACT
Objective: To discuss the subsequent risks for surviving fetus and the timing of delivery in monochorionic twin pregnancies after in utero death of one sibling. Institution: Istanbul University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Istanbul. Case Report: We presented a case of neonatal cerebral injury in surviving sibling of a monochorionic twin gestation after intrauterine death of one fetus, following twin to twin transfusion syndrome. Conclusion: After the death of one fetus in monochorionic twins, the timing of the delivery has critical importance, since some serious pathologies, including central nervous system can be seen in the surviving fetus.
