ÖZET
Gebelik döneminde sigara içmenin insan plasentası üzerine etkisini ışık ve elektron mikroskobu düzeyinde, toplam 231 denekte (171 sigara içen, 60 içmeyen), araştırılan çalışmamızın sonuçlarına göre: a) Sigara içen deneklerin %43.8'inin 5-9 sigara/gün; %31.6'sının 10-14 sigara/gün; %18.7'sinin 15-19 sigara/gün; %5.8'inin de 20+1 gün içtikleri, b) Gebelik döneminde ençok sigaranın 20-29 yaşları arasında olan kadınlarca içildiği; bu miktarın 5-14 sigara/gün olduğu, c) Sigaranın plasental bariyerde ileri derecede harabiyete, bölgesel nekroza sebep olduğu, bunun da plasental ayrılmaya neden olabileceği, d) Plasental bariyerin bozulmasının anne-bebek arasında her türlü geçişimi zorlaştırdığı, dolayısıyla düşük ağırlıklı bebek ve plasenta oluşmasına sebep olabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
ABSTRACT
The results of our research Project to study the effects of smoking on the human placentas with the aid of light and electron microscope among 231 pregnant (171 smokers, 60 nonsmokers) can be summarized as follows: a) Daily cigaratte consume among pregnants in our study groups were 5-9 (43.8%), 10-14 (31.6%), 15-19 (18.7%) and more than 20 (5.8%), b) Heavy smokers (5-14 cigarette per day) were most frequent among pregnants who were 20 through 29 years old, c) The delatorious effect of the cigarette smoking on the placental barrier were heavy tissue damage and focal necrosis, d) As a result of impairment of placental barrier, the transport between mother and fetus were hampared. This was the reason for low weigh fetus and placenta.
