ÖZET
Son 10 yılda 23 dev uterin miyomlu vaka Gaziantep Üniversitesi jinekoloji kliniğinde opere edildi.Modifiye Richardson tipi intrafasyal total abdominal histerektomi, bilateral salpingooferektomi intraoperatif ve postoperatif komplikasyon ve komşu organlara verilebilecek zararı önlemek için iki aşamalı olarak gerçekleştirildi.Operasyonlar sırasında ve operasyonlardan 2 ay sonraki kontrollerde önemli problemlerle karşılaşılmadı.Bu modifikasyon büyük uterin miyomlu vakalarda histerektomiyi kolaylaştırabilmek, yeterli cerrahi alan sağlayabilmek için yararlı bulundu.

ABSTRACT
Twenty three patients with giant uterin myomas were operated in Gynecology Department of Gaziantep University in last 10 years.Modified Richardsons intrafascial abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy was performed by two steps on all cases to prevent intraoperative and postoperative surgical complications and damage to the adjacent organs.No significant problem was observed in any patient during and after 2 months of the operations.This modification is found advantageously to ease hysterectomy and to obtain sufficient surgical exposure in the patients with large uterin myomas.
